Mountain Lion 10.8.5 appears to be out. Just under 300MB from the App Store on my Mac Pro. The combo update weighs in at about 850MB
Also security updates for Snow Leopard and Lion.

I saw the links for it in the news feeds 24 hours ago and it still does not show up in Software Update yet.

No both machines are still showing no update available. It is weird because in the past it might be several days between one machine being updated and the other being up dated.

How odd.
The Combo is definitely available from the Apple Support website. My machine found it straight away on Update last night (hence the original post).

Still not showing. On either machine. I might do the combo update.

Anyone who's installed 10.8.5 experiencing any issues with drives going to sleep?

I've got three internal drives on my Mac Pro - the system drive, a drive for photos and my time machine drive.
I've got the energy saving prefs set to never put the drives to sleep but I occasionally notice that the photo drive seems to go to sleep sometimes. It seems to occur when the display sleeps.

Seems to be a known issue with 10.8.5.

My set-up is internal drive, Time Machine drive FW800 daisy-chained from a WD MyBook attached to the FW800 socket.

All drives seem to sleep without issue, but that's not what you asked about. I don't have them set to never sleep as I can't stand the noise - quiet though it is! I have noted occasional insomnia with the Mac mini, where I choose Sleep from the Apple menu, turn around and it's awake again.

There's a supplementary update to 10.8.5 (and also iTunes 11.1.1) out. Apparently the 10.8.5 Combo update has also been updated to incorporate the fixes.
