Okay so aaaaaaages ago I filmed some pretty funny party stuff. I was about 14 at the time, and it involved various amounts of alcohol and weed (I have to declare that I didn't touch the weed). Anyway as my parents used my PC quite alot I tried everything I could to hide these videos and I changed many things like permissions. I wasn't very good with computers back then y'see.

Cut a long story short, i've found an old back-up hard drive and i've found the videos, however now the writing is green and they're slightly opaque (like when you "cut" a file) and they won't play. Windows Media Player gives an error that they cannot be played, VLC won't play them and they're all .mpeg files.

Any ideas anyone? I do have a reason for wanting to watch them..

Windows marks encrypted files on NTFS with green writing... maybe that's it?

Ah well never mind. Extensive googling has come up with nothing.

The videos were poor quality anyway, and were meant for a memorial video (one of my friends was killed recently) but I guess if all the clips are "parent-safe" then they can be shown more freely to people who aren't just her schoolfriends.
