Cheers JJ, although the bit about "There may be good reasons why Apple left support disabled, so use at your own risk." would give me pause for thought.

10.7 is due out soon, isn't it? I don't really keep up with these things, what with not having a Mac.

NTFS writing has been quite stable on Linux for a year or so now. I seem to remember a few glitches around the Vista and 7 incarnations, but I think they're mostly resolved now. You should definitely have official support on the Mac soon, if it's not there already.

I just think it's a real shame that other, superior formats have failed to take off - almost entirely due to lack of native Windows support. I can't see the future though, so here's hoping.
