This one is annoying.
WDS server deploying Win 7 images as usual, tested and drivers / software installed in Audit mode. Stress tested then sysprep'd for OOBE and on their jolly way.
0.005% (yes made up percentages are cool, its enough to be annoying, too little to determine a common cause) will fail when the end user runs OOBE,
"The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation."
No obvious hardware errors, no reset just will not complete OOBE and freaks. Prompting a reinstall at the end user, which sucks.
If it was a hardware error i would expect it to show up under testing and there seem to be too many for it to be that.
Happens under all SKU's, doesnt hinge on any particular hardware config. Which leads me away from an imaging error, surely it would happen to all if that was the cause.
What the hell is causing this?, never had this problem with Vista, rabble rabble rabble.
