It's a mobile phone with a sideways sliding "gamepad control where the keyboard would normally go" thing.

I was bemoaning the lack of buttons on my 'droid when I was thinking about doing a Minecraft port. Seriously, a touch screen is not a suitable game controller for first person games! I was thinking about splitting the screen and putting two joy-pads and some buttons under the HUD, but it just doesn't fit right.

PlayStation Phone: 'You'll have to re-buy' old PSN contenthttp://www.computerandvideogames.com/28 ... n-content/I'd be interested to know if that's really a technical problem, or Sony getting ideas above it's (Play)station... Either way, having previous purchases available on your new platform would have been quite a selling point.

It's a correct usage certainly. I was commenting on a different aspect though. Why use an overly-complicated, unwieldy, ambiguous word when a simpler phrase does the job much better with less effort and greater readability? To me at least, it's like saying utilise instead of use or commence instead of begin. Gowers, Sir Ernest Arthur (1954). The Complete Plain Words: A guide to the use of English. London: HMSO

If we're afraid to use all the tools the English language offers, then we may as well be using Pidgin English. I don't think there's anything ambiguous his usage in that context. http://www.globalideasbank.org/site/bank/idea.php?ideaId=802

White PlayStation Phone is O2 exclusive O2 will be the only mobile provider offering a white version of Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play, aka the PlayStation Phone, when the handset launches in the UK. The firm said on Twitter: "Great news: not only will we be selling Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, we'll have an exclusive white version." You can check out the pretty looking white Xperia Play - sitting in its dock from the front and back - in the images here. The phone is expected to launch in the US in March before hitting the UK in April. Network providers Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone will also be stocking the handset on this side of the pond. A £420 Xperia Play price tag was rumoured last week. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/28 ... exclusive/
