If it gets announced in WWDC 2013 that means it'll be mid 2014 before it gets released which puts it on the same 2 years time scale.

Was Mountain Lion announced at WWDC 2011? I thought it just sort of popped out on the dev site...

IIRC it was announced then but certain sympathetic journalists were given a preview a couple of months before.

Mountain Lion was announced in February 2012, and released in the summer. That means a 12 month delay between OSX releases.

Ah, my mistake. Thought they did the "sneak preview" at WWDC 2011. Forgot they had a special announcement preview in Feb.

The only advantage now is that you might be able to google details quicker. Whatever you think it will not be until they announce it will we know what is included. Even its name is up for grabs until the official announcement.
