Is that picture being taken by an iSight camera on an iMac by any chance?
The sweatshirt is a nice touch just to add a bit of extra identity ot the photo.

Looks more like a picture from the MacBook Air held up to a mirror... ;)

I was looking at them in the Apple Store in Cardiff, had I not been virtualising lots on my currently MacBook, I would be very tempted to get one, but I fear my next lappy will have to be a MBP...

Nice one Sherlock. The clue may well be in the reflection.

I cannot help but feel I'm missing something with this, given the cost of the base spec and the cost of equivalently specced Windows machines. I am aware one normally pays a little bit extra for Mac products, but the 11inch models seem to be twice the price of the equivalent Windows boxes. Is that really just on how thin they are making the machine, or is there something else?

Hmm, I don't know which Windows machines you are thinking of.

PC Pro seem to think that the MacBook Air is cheaper than the alternatives (well at least one prominent alternative)

I was under the impression that a significant chunk of the price was down to the SSD's that are fitted as standard instead of a conventional hard disk.
