Well, we'll still have the two G4s at home. I suspect Dad'll want an upgrade soon as well. So I might sell one. Hmm.

Not 100% sure.I know it is a G4 1.67GHz and came out the same time as the iPod Photo 60Gb late 2004 IIRC.

Best Beloved still uses my old G4 Cube 450MHz. It'll be 10 years old in January.

In that case it'll be an aluminium G4. The TiBooks didn't go that high in specs. Mark

But are these your primary machines? I still have an SE/30, but it's not used very often!

Of course not. I also have two generations of black PowerBook G3, an SE/30, and an LCII upstairs - with 12in colour screen! They're mostly so much electronic junk, though one PB is being used by our neighbour, and the other acts as a network bridge to my printer.

Yeah, I've got an lcii with colour screen in my garage.
I'll soon be joining the dark side. Will be getting two shiny new mac pros, but putting off the purchase for as long as possible. Gave one company the job of pricing up two mac pros, a new cs5 premium and a cs5 update, plus an eizo coloredge monitor and he hasn't got back to me - would have thought he'd be a bit more eager to make the sale!

No, you're not. I still use a PowerMac G5 at home. Can't currently afford to move to something newer. Work is all PC's

I was chatting about the g4 cube to a colleague last week, we had one at my last place for doing presentations. Lovely looking bits of kit. Had the matching display too. Use an iMac g5 in the meeting room here. Looks reasonably smart for the clients.

Well, it's arrived. And I've had to come to work for a couple of hours. So tonight'll be updates, and migration, and software installation. I'm probably going to do a fresh install of apps, just take the docs across.

Satisfy your curiosity by taking a look here for the unboxing pics. Can I just add that my desk is always that tidy, and I certainly did not clear a bin bag full of crap off it to make space, before I heaved the World's Heaviest Printer™ on to the floor.
