I do not think that is necessarily going to happen. Too many ports for Apple. Why HDMI when it can use Airplay to an AppleTV?

Yes but would people actually use it outside like that? I might use it like that at home but certainly not outside.

My guess would be that if the supported resolution rumours are true they might include hdmi/display port for connection to a proper monitor.

I cant see that. Still using airplay to transmit to an Apple TV. Display port could be an option. Does it transmit power over Displayport? This could be a decoy case, designed to confuse the bloggers. I would like to think that an higher resolution screen is an option. The cameras and the high res screen would make it a must buy for me, though it would make the next version a much tougher sell so it may not happen this time.
