I don't know. It's confusing because it says Mac OS in the System > Management section, but doesn't list Mac OS under the Supported Operating Systems section. (8+/ Mark

How about http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Apple-Mac-Wireles ... 25613d5a3cor http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Airport-Extreme-1 ... 25612f4239From his shop. PCI-e was listed for gfx. I bet it's got pci-x as well (which the original card I listed will fit in)

Now that I like the look of. It's much more in keeping with what I originally envisaged too. Mark

Just ordered one. I'll update the thread when it arrives and I've tested it. Mark

Right … it failed. I can't get the Mac to recognise the thing.

I had something similar, and the same problem. What I found out is that the innards was fairly generic, and that there were Mac drivers for another branded version. It worked, but it seemed slightly flaky and would drop connections. Don’t expect to use the regular networking control panel - the software needs to be running - in much the same way that USB mobile phone dongles need software open to keep the connection live. I gave up on mine, and bought a 10m ethernet cable to hook the necessary Mac to the Airport directly.

I've suggested two options; one is the long Ethernet cable running from the Mac to the router, the other is to extend the wireless network using another cheap router and plug in to that with an Ethernet cable. I'm not wasting any more of my time on it.
