Moving from Outlook Express to Outlook (don't ask!)

You may find it easier to import into Outlook Express on the new PC and then import into Outlook.

I've not done it in a while.

Express assist free for 15 days will let you take everything to the new machine and set outlook express up the run outlook and it should find everything .
doit all the time here for upgrades and transfers ,as i said free 15 day trial . ;

In the end I threw the old machine out the window and ignored all of the email on it :D

I couldn’t get outlook to recognize express saved files, the only way I could get my Express files into outlook07 was to drag them over from a folder I’d created.

I selecting all my emails and folders in express and dragging them into a desktop folder. Used a usb pen to transfer the folder then drag them into outlook07.

You’ll be able to read them but the format is not the same so some info may be missing.

Have you tried using outlook live as an alternative? That uses the same save file format as express.
