I spoke to Apple this aft and they said that Barclays have now released the funds so tomorrow my order should say Funds Received or something and then Preparing for Shipping.

If it isn't by the time I get into work tomorrow morning I'll call again.

It should fricking be here by now!

Getting slightly annoyed now.

Still showing as "awaiting payment" online and I've contacted customer services and Barclays severl times to confirm the payment has been made. It was made on the 15th but Apple appear ot have lost all records of it.

Also, everytime I call they say they will "escalate it to the finance team" and so far I haven't heard a jot from the finance team. When I asked if someone could speak to the finance team I'm told that they don't have a telephone that they can be contacted on.

I'm beginning to wonder if the finance team actually exists. They don't do anything and no one can speak to them.

Also, if I can pick up the phone and get full details of the payment made from Barclays within a couple of minutes why can't someone from "the finance team" do the same? It has now been just over two weeks and still nothing.

I managed to get through to someone today (on the third try) and she said she would go and walk down to the finance team to get an update directly from them. She is going to call/email back tonight.

My iMac turned up last Friday, but it has the wrong graphics card, so Apple are swapping it.

Have you tried phoning to cancel the order. You have until the end of next week to put the order through again...

Yeah, I thought about that. I just wasn't sure what would happen with the application. I don't want Barclays to decline because there is already an application on there.

If it doesn't come through by Friday I'll cancel the order and start again.

The guy has put me back on to after sales and has said it would be best to wait until they can confirm with Barclays that the application has been cancelled before starting a new order.

I just called Barclays again and they told me that Apple has authorised it.

Went onto the Apple website and it says "Processing Items".

I have no idea why it has taken so long for them to process it but it has now gone through! I did just email my application ID number to them today (so thhat they could cancel the application with Barclays) so maybe that has allowed them to find it? Or something?!?!?!?

Get the frack in!

Um. Not meaning to be a pisser of chips, but it's very very unlikely to get to you tomorrow. 'Shipping' means leaving the factory, and that's either in Ireland or China. If it's Ireland, you'l probably get it in 2 or 3 days after they tell you it's shipped. If it's China, it could be anything between a week and two weeks. All their stuff from China goes via Holland first.

It actually says waiting to merge the order in GB so I presume it has gone further than the preliminary stages?

My iMac (the one with the correct graphics card) is currently in Tamworth...Apple reckon they'll deliver on the 6th, but I've a horrid feeling* that they\ll deliver tomorrow...

*I'm at work tomorrow and because of IFC I had to get it shipped to my billing address...
