what adblocker program do people on here use?

I use AdBlock Plus (Firefox extension, I think Chrome has something similar though) to block the majority of adverts, but a few websites I frequent require the ad revenue to stay active, so I tend to let those ones through :)

Yes I had that but have turned it off for a while so that sites get paid. Some sites are swamped with ads but I guess that unless I play ball they will disappear.

obnoxious sites that spam ads everywhere stay adblocked, but some of the smaller forums need the revenue to pay for servers etc, and im fine with a few discreet adverts

Agreed but I need to learn how to select sites for the white list.
