Verdana then. And most of the 8-bit fonts out there will suit your needs then. I have a passable Mode 7 font, plus the Teletext graphics alternative for when you want to do drawings. You may well remember that originally, fonts were supplied at bitmaps for the chosen point size for screen display. Outline fonts were used in RIPs, and later on used for screen display.

So how do I set Safari to use the best matching 8 bit font for my 12" EGA screen then? Not that it matters any more since the project is dead. I'm sticking with Firefox or one of it's spin-offs for now. </OT>

I've been using it and it's no longer showing the size of my playlists. Has anyone found out a way to display them? EDIT: found it!

Isn't the main problem with iTunes for Windows the fact that it uses QuickTime which isn't really very happy under Microsoft OS?
I like to think of it as revenge for Office - make a nifty app but make the rival platform version not as good as the original one. (or maybe I'm just bitter, because having splashed out for the Mac version of Office, I've discovered that the main thing I need it for simply doesn't work as it uses a bit of Windows technology that isn't available under the Mac OS).

The problem with iTunes was, I haven't used the latest version on Windows, that it was incredibly buggy and very bloated. It used to be able to bring the most powerful of PCs to their knees, even when only playing MP3s.
Over time it has gotten more stable and with ever more powerful PCs, it has become half way usable, if ugly.

Yes, but your old Macs weren't running it under Windows. It is like saying "a Ferrari drives like crap on an off-road assault course." And getting the reply, "I've never had any problems driving it around Monza."
