My Sony is a nice build, but it came with loads of crapware. My wife's PC Specialist laptop has a cheap and nasty keyboard and chasis, but all the internal parts are custom picked. Most big manufacturers charge a huge premium to pick the exact parts you want rather than an off the shelf model. PC Specialist were quite good on price.

Found this http://www.dell.com/uk/business/p/xps-1 ... _err=noocswhen speccing a M4800 - it looks mighty tasty - and I'm thinking of suggesting it as a "spare" for the office... apart from the lack of pricing - thoughts?

I take some of what I said about Medion back. Just had a nightmare trying to order from them, card has been charged, no order confirmation and I don't know what is going on!

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/p ... nformationYou'd certainly be hard pushed to use up the HDD or RAM capacity, but the CPU and graphics might be too weak depending on what you want to be doing in that time. Either way, Argos gives a good idea of the variations you can expect around the £400 mark.

Not so bad if you want to run an old game like I am thinking off.

Recently my wife's screen started playing up. (Still under warrenty) PC Specialist were really good about it. They arrabged for it to be collected, taken away, fixed and returned without any issues. Top notch customer sevice.
