I must admit I thought it had been discussed when we set up the technical section and it was decided that there wasn't enough call for one.

There is probably about as much call for it as there is the Open Source forum. The problem is, when programming topics come up (and they seem to be cropping up a bit more now) they get put into the Meeting Place and people dip into them with not much to add and they get lost amongst the other posts.
A separate board would mean posts would get better attention (I'd have thought).

Sticky'ing everything would be fine.

Would just mean that instead of being listed in order of activity, threads would be listed in order of creation.

That's something I could get used to - and it would certainly make finding old threads a lot easier.
