I currently have 10GB on Carbonite and I haven't backed up my music or films.

A file isn't backed up unless it is backed up on a different medium in a different location...

I like the 3 - 2 - 1 rule, 3 copies, 2 types of media, 1 off site.

Thanks all for the suggestions so far. Had a play with a few I found on versiontracker, but they were all either too hard to set up, or didn't work properly. So, if I get a chance later this week I'll try some of these out, it's looking like a busy week at work so not sure if I'll get much time on this before I go through at the weekend. I've always got the option of a manual copy for now until I find some software that's easy to use.

I'll add a vote for SyncToy (from Microsoft Download Center) I use it all the time. One click to update the copy of my work PC's documents to a USB drive. It's a great timesaver not to overwrite everything (the old method! :o ) or try and remember every document you've edited today...

Yep. I back up to 3 Flash drives (one taken home, 2 at work) and home PC hard drive (which backs up to second hard drive).

A more succinct, but less thorough version of that saying I've heard (maybe somewhere on here?) "it isn't saved until it's saved in 2 different places."
