A quick word of advice for all of you still running Windows 7 Beta, (NOT the RC)

I received an email from Microsoft reminding me to install the RC, as the beta will be expiring soon. I think it's August 1st, but I'd upgade A.S.A.P. just to be sure it all works.

:)

I also got said email and yes, it is August 1st. However, you start getting the two-hourly shutdowns before that. There's certainly no real reason for not upgrading to the RC from the beta so if you haven't, hurry up

Depends if it’s an air brick or not, I suppose.

I just had an email:

Quote:
Because you signed up to test the Windows 7 Beta, we recently sent you mail about the expiration dates for the Beta and Release Candidate. Unfortunately, we made a mistake.

We said the Beta would start shutting down every two hours on June 1, 2009. The correct date is July 1, 2009.

The rest of the dates in the mail were correct. Here’s a quick summary:

Version: Starts shutting down every two hours, Expires:
    Beta: July 1 2009, August 1 2009
    RC: March 1 2010, June 1 2010
