I thought so too. Doesn't seem to be available yet though. Slackers.

I went to look for it and it was not there. :(

Found it.

The MacBook air looked a little under powered with Core 2 duo. Apart from that you could not fault it.

Well, if you want more horsepower, they have these things called MacBook Pros....

Actually that will probably be my next mac. But not for a few years now.

Apple's UK Web Page seems to have taken on a rather minimalist theme for me...

weird; I had 'private browsing' switched on an it didn't work at all. Switch that off, and it works fine. Wonder what Apple are up to that they're not telling us about?

So, long story short, we got a glimpse of a touch enabled OS, an update to a laptop nobody's that bothered about, and uh, some software bumps.
Sadly, I was expecting more. Like them getting around to sorting the Pro desktop line. I dunno. Maybe I'm unrealistic.

Erm... how do you get he full screen stuff in iPhoto?

They were talking about the events view and stuff as though it was already there but they were adding more to it.

Whenever I use fullscreen it is only for one photo at a time.

Yep, same for me. The full screen view in iPhoto 11 seems much more like the full screen view in Aperture than any previous iPhoto.

Well, my dad came home with a MacBook air today.

No, not the new one, the old one! Going back with him on Saturday to exchange it for the new one.

Apple give a 14 day return policy even on opened products.

I can't believe they didn't say anything about the new one to him!

I know it was a rumour but they really should have said something about the new one coming out!

Well the store staff are not told anything either so they are not to blame.

I am looking at the features of OS X Lion. Launch pad looks good but there are other apps that can be just as useful.

Have they sorted the memory channel thingy with the triple channel doohickey?
I'd just like better/faster/more/cheaper.

And, no, there is no DVD drive and no DVD for software restore. What there is for reinstalling your OS is this:
