Nice to see that you can turn off wifi or on a lot easier now. But some of those icons are vomit inducing.

Anyone still stuck on iOS 6.1.3 having issues with updates to apps?

Last night, I noticed 11 apps had updates waiting to download - as it was late and the battery level was getting critical, I opted to wait until this morning to update them. Today, though, the App Store icon on the home screen doesn't have the number badge showing, when I launch it and check for updates it says 'All apps are up to date' - but below that the badge has a "14" for updates available!

I know the apps haven't automatically updated themselves, as the version numbers aren't the latest versions available - I vaguely remember which apps they were from last night. Anyhow, guess it'll sort itself out in time, Apple's server must be throwing a wobbler at the moment! Might try doing it through iTunes later.

Yeah man, it's been doing this sporadically for me for the last few days.
I'm guessing it'll all settle down shortly.

A lot of the apps are iOS 7 only and so that when I tried to update many were reported as a failed because iOS 7 was required. When iOS 7 was installed it then allowed me to update them. I had to do the update from the devices rather than iTunes. Then I had to find the right version of iTunes. That I had to find via Apple.com/downloads.

They are all find now.

My local 3 store called me last night to invite me down to the shop for 8am so that I could buy one.
This close to payday? Not happening.
So I will wait a little longer. :)

As of this morning, presuming average spending next week, I will have enough money left this month to either

a) Pay off my credit card, the balance of which is a transfer so it's actually on 0% interest for some time yet
or
b) Buy a new iPhone.

Argh!

Hah! Decision made - IPhone 5s now had 'shipping October' on the web site. I'll leave it for abit.

Wait and see what the mobile operators offer in terms of deals. Mine while tying me in for two years did make it effectively an interest free loan, with almost nothing to pay upfront as part of the cash back deal.

Security holes discovered in iOS7:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-24170429

Fixed if you turn off Control Centre and Siri access on the lock screen. Apple have said they'll fix it in the next patch.

Also sound problems. Lots of audio app makers are advising their users not to upgrade to 7.

Check you've got background updating switched on. I think it's off by default.

How do you change that?
