Couple of pieces you might be interested in - MBP 13" review and iFixIt have already done a tear down - Clicky. Turns out the battery is very user replaceable after all, should the need ever arise.

I just got myself an iPhone, yes, yes, throw all you got at me for being stuck in the past. But I genuinley have to say, even though it didn't cost me anything, it's saved me so much so far.
Need a new SatNav. Now all I have to buy is a windscreen mount and car charger. £9.96 deliver on Amazon. Bloody brilliant, that's nearly £200 pocketed!
Well done Apple. Well done. You've officially part-converted me.
I'm still not paying no 1.8k for a lappy though...

This is more than likely true. But why would I want damage myself in buying a 13" lappy? I don't want to go cross eyed trying to use it, and i certainly don't want to develop arthritis in my fingers trying to type either!

Unless you currently use a jumbo keyboard, the MacBook keyboards are just as comfortable to use as normal ones, OK it doesn't have a num pad, but unless you're doing tonnes of data entry you can probably live without. It certainly isn't any more cramped than my brother's 17" Acer thingy, it just has less buttons... The screen is a little small to be of great use in development, but if that's what I've got on the road, it's better than my 12" ThinkPad or my 3" iPod Touch

That's what I'm concerned about next year, as I'm leaving my ACD here in Rugby. Oh well! Edd

Yes, the Apple shop in Kingston has them on display. Don't like the baby keyboard on the 15" & 17" much though.

Not 100% sure (as I didn't look too hard before as I wasn't considering buying one). The KB is the same size as the macbook , with the larger chassis you have a couple of inches to the L & R sides and 2-3" on the bottom edge of just aluminium

I forgot iPhone OS 3.0 for miPod, and $99 for my iPhone Developer Program membership. Annoying thing is I've got the money, but I can't get at it as my ISA is being transferred atm. Grrrr!
