Depending on the spec and price of the new handset, I may get one on PAYG and keep my Simplicity contract.

I may be doing the same. It's a lot cheaper over the full term.

I think that I will opt to get it through Tesco. The triple credit is nice and the interest free option with a Tesco credit card is always nice. And clubcard points on it all.

Then again, perhaps so.

It is looking increasingly likely that this is indeed a prototype for the new iPhone. Unless it's a clever leak by Apple, someone is for the highjump.

It keeps the rumours going. Who knows they could have had a deliberate leak of an also ran so that they can still surprise the audience on June 22nd.

It could be thicker, if it is going to be a 4G iPhone, using either WiMax or EV-DO (now UMB), that would probably eat away at the battery more than 3G! Both Verizon and Sprint have been going on about their 4G network rollout and rumours of an iPhone on their network...

They must make a lot of prototypes. I suspect that the iPad had prototypes with a camera in it as the frame had a place where one could be mounted. I expect numerous configurations in some "generic" case are trailed. This may well be one of them however by itself it does not tell us that much about what the final spec will be.

Yes it is of interest for a while. I am not going to get too excited by the rumours. I am still waiting for the Apple Lightsabre.

Well if true none of it looks like bad news. The bigger lens for the camera seems like a good idea, the bigger battery too should be welcome. I wonder what CPU is in it?

I expect it'll be the same (or a cut-down version) as the iPad chip.
