Disable the auto restart & make a note of the error code in the bluescreen. I expect it's either a driver or update that's causing it. Have you changed any software recently? |

Ring 0844 847 8944 (local rate) and choose Option 4. (Toshiba technical support line, doesn't matter if machine is out of warranty at all). You might even get to talk to me ![]() |

How old is it? Does it have "Toshiba Health Monitor" or other diagnostic software installed? If so, what does it say? The symptoms are typical of over heating, often caused by dust clogging up the cooling system, a failed fan or mechanical damage. |

I've got a Toshiba that is playing up as well, it is only about 4 weeks old. It won't take updates and processes hang, I think it is infected with a virus. Have you run a virus check over the machine? The other 5 machines of the same model we have are running fine. |

Health check looks fine, cpu 46% internal 36% fan 50% virus scan started.. |

If the virus scan doesn't come back with anything, try running dskchk with all the fruit on, from the reasonable sample size of machines I've seen, this seems to be a fairly common cause of stability issues. If not, recovery is the easiest (read cop-out) way of ruling out any software issue. |

Also download Malwarebytes to look for malware. |

It does sound like a heat issue - especially if you haven't changed anything recently. Q. Have you been looking at naughty internetz? |

Not sure what you mean by temps cpu 45% (is that something reading fan speed or should it be 45C?). With chkdsk, if you run it via the normal Windows GUI, there are only two options to select (you want both). If you run via CMD it's chkdsk /f /r (It'll ask you to schedule it for during the boot process and you'll need to manually restart). |
