Hi, well it is something not really normal.
I am looking for a motherboard which will have slots for 2 CPUs each CPU quad core, it will have to be able to support 16GB ram minimum,
it needs to have RAID capability
I will be looking for perhaps to start with 4 * 320GB hard disks
graphics, I will have to get back to you as I will be loading Linux onto the system. We will be looking to virtualize the PC so that I can install various flavours of Oracle databases.
possibly 2 or more network cards.
regards
Alan

What flavour of virtualisation will you be using?
VMWARE is rather picky about network adaptors & raid cards

Oracle have their own version of Linux and their own VM software and we will be looking at these.
If you have any other recommendations though it would be good the hear them.
We have thought about possibly MS windows virtualization but not to sure about this.

Personally I'd go vmware all the way. A couple of fast boxes with FC to a SAN would be perfect.
