Hi all, I am having the usual mass problems on my computer. These are: - bsod when loading and shutting down. - programs failing to load on mass when starting up (only sound loads). - no Internet. - antivirus shuts down. -disks don't load. - sometimes hang on POST All this on a windows 7 pc, any advice? |

Check:
I'd suspect the power myself but it could be one of a few things. |

I'd also boot from a Virus Recovery CD and run a scan of the machine. It sounds like an XP virus failing to install itself properly, especially the shutting down the AV software... |

Ok, Ill check the internal connections. At the moment Windows Explorer is restarting repeatedly, (stopped working, restarting, restarts, and the same again.) Also ill put the Kaspersky recovery disk in, see what happens. |

Kaspersky recovery failed.. loaded and then crashed half way through doing something. Safe mode works fine, so maybe it is a driver/thing that isnt necessary to run? |

If it is fine in safe mode, then I'd look at the GPU and networking drivers - they don't load in safe mode, nor do sound drivers for that matter. |

It it runs in safe mode then you'll have to begin the painful process of finding out which driver/process is causing the machine to crash. Have you installed something/updated a driver recently? Try using system restore to restore the machine to a time you know it all worked fine. |
