Hi Guys

Not sure if anyone can help but I have just created 3 new accounts on Workgroup Manager (v10.4.4) and it's not giving the correct access to the folders and has even given access to a folder that is not even in the groups I have added. Anyone got any ideas? Have compared to existing users and they all have correct access. I'm wondering if I could propagate permissions on the volumes and if so do I do it on the ACL or the other options such as owner name & group?

Stumped.

Out of interest caz, x.4.4? Why not take it to 4.11?

Lots of bug fixes etc.

I find permissions often eff-up in 10.4 server and tend to use supergetinfo to manually put things right.

Didge.

I have to do a change request if the server is rebooted and tbh can't be arsed lol. It wont be my problem much longer as I'm finishing up and leaving probably at the end of next month. They need a new server really but they don't want to spend the cash.

Oh that sounds sooo familiar .. the requirement for new machines but 0 budget to do it particularly.

I've been joking that I'll be handing out pads of paper and abacuses next!
