Anyone have any suggestions for a good 120mm x 120m x 38m case fan? I'm looking for something with around 100CFM, and whilst I'm not too fussed about noise, obviously quieter is better. Ta much. ![]() |

I've got some spare Sharkoon 2000rpm ones knocking about 75cfm for 35dB. If you're ever up in Exeter you can have some, as they're just taking up space. |

Cheers Jon, I'll have to pop up soon - the fan in the G4's making infrequent knocking noises. Nothing's interfering with the blades, so I can only imagine the bearing's on it's way out. |

Actually, reading a bit more, it needs to replicate the OEM fan more closely. The stocker's 108CFM @ 3400 rpm, 49dB. So I'm thinking something along the lines of a 3000rpm Scythe Ultra Kaze, or a Scythe Kaze Jyuni 1900RPM. The fan's speed is controlled off the mobo, so it only needs to connect the red n black wires - that shouldn't be an issue for these fans, should it? |

I have a spare 120 mm apple fan kicking around. Not sure if it is g4 (might be ppc even). You are welcome to try it. Didge |

Just ordered a 3000rpm Scythe Ultra Kaze which should fit the bill nicely. ![]() |
