After my Pc problems I reckoned ininstalling and starting again would work - it didn't. Couldn't even install windows. End result I believe that there is a mobo fault that is RAM related - due to dmi pool data fails. So new mobo = may as well upgrade... New specs will be: I5 760 CPU 4gb ddr3 ram - it would be 1600 MHz but I bought high voltage stuff, so it'll have to default to 1333. A Asus p55 mobo, pretty basic one ( can't remember all the digits xD) Added to my original: F3 1tb hdd 320gb hitachi hdd 9600gt + 8400gs graphics cards 700w psu
I'll try and get some pics as I put it together, as I am also changing tower, and the new one is huage!
Ill also be flogging my e8400 CPU at some point ( which works fine) and need to test some of my old ram before possibly selling that as well.

Pity as I have a spare socket 775 mobo kicking around you could have had.

Too late now Plus I think both sticks of RAM had been killed by the Mobo, needa check that out, but seems likely. So the only thing was really the CPU. Which I can sell on easily enough. I am now writing this from my PC!! Happy days, got it up and running smoothly, the mobo (ASUS P7P55D) I got is an absolute gem, works perfectly, bios is easy to navigate + the lights on it tell me whether there are any problems when it boots. RAM works fine at its lower MHz and the CPU is speedy Pics to follow soon.

I'll watch out for you listing the old parts in "For Sale" as might build a cheap rig for a mate of mine.

The middle one is for main task (so if im watching a movie, games or w/e else). The right screen I use when browsing internet to use facebook/skype. So I dont have to keep switching programs to see new messages. (or I can have a video call on skype and still do stuff on the computer). The left screen is used mainly when im writing essays or doing other research stuff (a fair bit). So I have the essay on screen one (mid), an essay plan on screen two (right) and research on screen three (left) . Which may sound odd, but is actually majorly useful. Often the left screen will be off (as it isnt constantly needed). Though the right screen is on pretty much always.

I seriously need to restock my games library - only good game I have now is dragonage origins. Though I won't deny that when there is time, a bit of wc3 emerges. Mostly the main monitor is fine for gaming though, the others only really come into play for work. Now I need to find a game that would use all three monitors ( though their differing siZes may make that difficult.

I lost many hours on that game and is one of the few I would happily lose more hours on. A game across 3 monitors, that's had me pondering. I have 2 monitors know and am thinking how best gaming would be on it. I don't fancy the idea of splitting the screen across them as they're different sizes, like yours, but there must be some games where you can make good use of them... * scratches chin *

I thought most games that'll split over monitors are things like flight sims. Or train sims, I suppose, if that's your thing. Actually, wasn't there some sort of Mech game... ?
