Mac Event arranged for 10am Pacific Time on Wednesday!
Rumoured to be unveiling a new range of MacBook Airs and Mac OSX 10.7.
Can't wait to see what they come up with. I may be in the market to purchase a new MBP on their next update.

I'm interested to see if the 11" MacBook Air comes true. Hopefully it'll be more competitively priced than the current model.

Personally, I don't really care about a new MBA, unless it is ridiculously cheap. I am very interested in new software though, especially what 10.7 will bring.

I don't know what OS X 10.7 can bring to the table that I would find myself going "Oohh look at that!" at. I guess I'll find out on Wednesday.

To me that makes it all the more exciting.

It was only yeaterday I heard about the 11" MacBook Air. I'm well out of the loop on what possible features anything from Apple could contain. Since my last post above I've thought of one thing that I'd like to see in 10.7. Mark

Whatever 10.7 has, it had better be pretty special. I still haven't made the move to 10.6, since there didn't seem to be anything of any benefit to me on my older system.

I'm hoping the Cocoa-ification of all core apps is a silent little point slipped in with the 10.7 release.

From reading the interview in the other thread I think this is something that Jobs is good at. Coming up with new ways of doing things that had never been thought of as a possible new way of doing something and making it better than what is currently available.

We'll see if he works his magic on me then. (8+) In all honesty, I'm really very happy with 10.6 (heck, I'm still perfectly happy with 10.5 here in work) so I'm kind of hoping 10.7 doesn't have anything I want. If that makes sense?

LOL! Perfect sense Although no doubt we will be getting the family upgrade pack either way. It may tempt me into getting a new MBP or iMac though if it pushes my old MBP any further.

I don't know why but I've got an image of a drastic overhaul of Mac OSX in my head.
Complete change of GUI (may be a subtle change but everything changes) comletely new way of doing stuff.
I know it won't happen but I have a feeling it will be a significant change.

I will be waiting for a while before upgrading. I will probably get it as part of the Mac Box set with iLife. On a side note is there a problem with a single user getting the single user pack and sticking it on three machines?

You mean aside from it breaking Apple's terms and conditions of installing OS X, as well as it being morally questionable? Mark

When's that in the civilised world? I think be somewhat odd to come up with a 'netbook air' barely six months after telling people netbooks were crap and tablets were were it's at, but it's not as if Apple don't have form in that regard. The rumours are just basically what's next on the merry -go-round. The thing that'd really surprise me was if Jobs released an actual lion into the audience while shouting "Antennaegate?! I'll give you Antennaegate!" Jon
