So, the NDAs have been lifted and the reviews are up on the sites. http://www.anandtech.com/show/4008/nvid ... ce-gtx-580 Looks like a very good card, but why 580? Why isn't it a GTX 490 or something? |

Perhaps becasue it was slated as being a power hungry radiator when it came out. Dunno, maybe it was just to try and distance itself as it's a completely different card. Haven't read through much of the reviews but it looks like it's good enough to start a good ol' price war.
