I got a trackpad a while ago to use exclusively with my mbp. I had a crappy little mouse before that was no good. Anyway, I've just realised that I'm now beginning to get a kind of blister type thing on the tip of my middle finger!

Does anyone else use one exclusively? I use mine for maybe an hour or two a day. Is it affecting you in the same way?

Surely you would suffer the same from any sort of trackpad?

I only use the trackpad on my (first gen) MacBook and don't have a problem. But then I don't have particularly soft finger tips...

Heh, I once got a blister on my index finger from the nipple on my Mighty Mouse!

Or was it a blister on my mighty nipple from a mouse?

Blister or callus?

Not wanting to teach granny to suck eggs but you are using it right? Using two fingers? i.e. move with the light touch of one finger then click with another finger or more commonly the thumb. You CAN use with one finger put this causes you to press quite a lot harder with more friction.

:?

Well, since writing this thread it seems to have gone away.

I tend to use it with either my middle or index finger to move the cursor and my thumb to click. Then use either my ring finger or middle finger to use the alt click or scrolling and then my index, middle and ring for three and all for four.

I've used many trackpads and nipples and rollerballs and mice and touch screens in the past but this is the first time I've felt anything like this.

I have not noticed any change in my silky soft fingers since I bought mine. Thought I am not using it that much. Is there a way to set it up with more than one mac? Though only using one at a time. That way i can use it a lot more and still use it with my MBP when out and about. Thanks.

Right, well then, yes, it can be used on different machines.
It's just like the MagicMouse in that regard.
