Can anyone suggest a freebie PDF editor??
Somebody has asked me for one and I can't say I've ever used one myself, and Google is full of trials, demos, and some really shoddy looking programs.

I looked at it a while back and it's a realy mess. Unless you're creating PDFs from scratch, I tend to try and avoid anything to do with them. Editing in particular was horrific, even on ones without any security / lockdown.

Yeah that's what I'm finding, but apparently this is something they really can't live without.
I think I'll probably just quote them Adobe's silly prices for Adobe Pro and hope they don't go for it.

I've got one that I can't remember the name of that is cheaper than acrobat pro. I'll find out what is tomorrow and let you know. At the end of the day though, PDFs aren't meant to be editable.

If it's their material, what format is the "master" in? Nobody would be daft enough to keep their original material in a non-editable format, would they?

The app I have is called Infix Pro it's got better editing capabilities than Acrobat Pro, which isn't really that great at editing.

Come on, people aren't that clever! These are the same people who can't go back to their backup to get the original, editable copy as they don't keep backups either...
