The audio on my daughter's Acer 5732Z (Pentium Dual Core T4300, 3GB RAM, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit) has recently stopped working. Control panel sound dialog reports 'No audio devices are installed'. I've tried downloading the drivers from Acer, but they won't install successfully. There's no sound from speakers or audio out. Any ideas, please? It's driving me nuts!

OK - the webcam is also not working, I've just discovered. In Device Manager there are three items with the dreaded yellow triangle: Video Webcam; High Definition Audio Device; Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator. All report this in the properties dialog: Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39). HELP!

D

Are you absolutely sure you're installing the right drivers?

Have you tried updating the driver through Device Manager, to see if it can search online for one?

Those laptops came with two different camera drivers which I discovered when we had a similar problem with a works laptop - I tried both the Suyin driver and Chicony driver but could get neither to work :(

You could also try this website for suitable drivers http://www.driverstools.com/acer-driver ... s-vista-7/

I take it the laptop came with no Acer CD?
