Here's an interesting one..

When I try to access my bank online using IE7 on my desktop (XP, SP3), the icon and page name appear in the tab, the green activity bar disappears, but the page I was on previously doesn't change. If I use Safari on the same PC, it works fine (so it's not the firewall - Zonealarm). If I use IE7 on the laptop (Vista), it also works.

Is there some setting I've missed????

Have you tried upgrading to IE8?

Same problem with IE8 - I uninstalled it so see whether it was causing the problem, but it made no difference.

It's perfectly possible to set ZA to block https traffic to IE while allowing Safari. I'd try switching ZA off just to test.

You could try "restore IE settings" on the advanced tab of the options.

Wasn't there a "safe mode" for IE which didn't load any plug-ins? If you can find it, that would be worth trying.

No joy there either...I guess I'll just have to use Safari for the time being.

Oddly enough, it's now started loading properly again. I guess the bank must have been mucking about with something.
