The gf's phone has just died, separation of the two halves of a samsung sgh-z240 flip-phone. She kept all of her numbers on the phone rather than the SIM and needs to get them back.
Any suggestions on the easiest and preferably cheapest way of doing this?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

If the phone still powers up okay you may be able to sync it with a computer.

Don't know for sure but pretty sure we don't have a cable for it.
The main body powers on and off, so knowing the correct key sequence to copy all contacts to a SIM is one option, but that depends on knowing someone who has this model. No joy on the intenets so far.

Here's a link for a download of the manual. Maybe this'll help? Mark

That link is for a Sony Ericsson in a non-latin language. I've had a look at the Samsung manual but it doesn't provide any info on the menu structure. I'll wait until the gf comes back from work just in case she has a cable somewhere. Don't want to make things worse unless I have to.

*laugh* That was a FAIL then. Good luck. Other than a transfer using a computer I can see it being a right pain in the arse. (8+( Mark

Does it have Bluetooth? Can you get it to mount as an external drive and extract the data from a computer?

I don't have any Bluetooth devices. Well this laptop could have Bluetooth but as I've never had any other devices I have never looked for it, and probably wouldn't know where to start. Oh well, back to the wax tablet/papyrus.
