Desire HD has been working fine until I tried to send a message the other day. Lost all the stored texts and couldn't read any that had been sent since. There's loads on the net about it being a fault of the phone and several 'fixes' but I found switching off the phone and taking the battery out helped restore the message function. Not much I can do about the lost texts but I would advise folks to install a SMS backup/restore prog - plenty adequate free ones available.

Erm.. this happened to me the other day too. I had a popup to say the SMS app or whatever had stopped functioning and will be restarted. When it restarted though I couldnt send any texts. Rebooted the phone and it worked fine only like you I lost my texts. Thankfully there was nothing in there I needed and I tend to delete them weekly anyway.

I didnt know it was a common issue, I thought it was a random thing.
