Got a couple of their goflex terrabyte models which don't need external power bricks. Onlybeen using a couple of weeks but they do the job, swap out daily to keep backups offsite. Their "built in" backup software autoran when plugged in, and gave no option not to install - rude in my opinion. We didn't need it as running proper backups already. Pulled the plug and reformatted the drive, since then no trouble. Personally the slimness is an issue, my thought would be too flimsy for carrying around regularly. The spec says anodised finish, but can't find out "anodised what". |

The most common and also cheapest material is Aluminium, so that is probably what it is. If a more exotic Titanium or Magnesium was used then I'm pretty sure they would be shouting from the rooftops. |
