Hello

I have an old style macbook pro here that won't boot. I managed to target disc mode it off my machine but stupidly disconnected it and now it won't show again. I've reset PRAM and PMU/SMC and it's still not making the chime it made when I did manage to target disc mode it.

It has a black screen on start up and the power light is coming on but no noise and not showing on my desktop.

Have rebooted my mac twice but still no joy.

I have pulled out the battery and unplugged the mains and have left it sulking for a bit.

If anyone has any ideas it would be great if I could get the data off before I send it for repair.

Thanks

Caz

Remove the HDD & put it in a caddy?

Isn't it just a small screwdriver & a credit card to open it up?
