Hi all, What is the current best free Anti-Virus/Malware app? I used to use AVG, but it's become quite annoying, I've set Faye's Gran up with Avast!, but that requires a yearly serial number renewal last I checked. I've got Faye's cousins laptop here which has been riddled with malware (I've got the AntiVir recovery DVD from work and it found 23 infected files), so I've started afresh with Win7 and am looking for a decent AV that will keep itself up-to-date and keep her safe. Avira do a free one: www.free-av.com Otherwise get hold of Microsoft Security Essentials. |

^ This. If you can live with one pop up when updating it's the best free one out there IMO. |
