Had a strange one just as I was leaving tonight. Our system is set so if you send an email outside the company it should automatically "tag" the email with a trailer showing your name, job, phone numbers etc. Now one user says her's isn't. I've just sent a works email to my private email box (as me) and mine has the trailer on correctly. So I've tried again as another user and theirs is also fine however when I try as the user who has flagged the problem theirs just shows me the words "tel" and "fax" - both of which are blank and no name or job title. ![]() I've checked on AD and the fields for them are ok. I'm wondering if they have tried to write their own trailer in Outlook and messed it all up somehow? |

By the sound of that you're using Exchange? What version? And are you setting the footers in Outlook by an AD group/user policy or adding it on on the server by a transport rule? Jon |

Using Exchange 2010 - went in on Tuesday so still getting my head around it! On old server we were using Exclaimer software. Just had a browse now in the transport rule field and set up a "Global Trailer and Disclaimer" rule for outgoing emails so it should pick up the users name, title, phone, fax and email address plus a disclaimer bit at the bottom. Not activated the rule yet as puzzled why only 1 user (out of over 80) has reported a problem and wondering how the new server seems to be using the correct signature and disclaimer at the moment. |

Update: Trailer seems to work ok apart from it is not spacing the paragraphs - just lumping it all together ![]() Put in a </p> rule at end of each paragraph and it now starts a new line but does not leave me a blank line in between each paragraph. |
