it took about a minute to work out it was E1M6 from Doom - which goes to show:
a. I played Doom A LOT :D
b. I'm quite sad :oops:
c. they certainly don't make them like they used to! :x

It does show that games had better design back then. Far more complex maps, and better game play. Todays games rely on eye candy.

Well I did spend far too much of childhood creating levels in DoomCAD* and deconstructing the game levels was a good way to learn how to construct new ones and figure out which textures worked best*.

*so much so I sometimes toy with putting it in my CV! :lol:

Well as it is most people screw their face up when I tell them I've been using Autocad since I was 16 - so saying I've used "cad software" since I was 14 won't make much difference!
