Hi all,

I have a GTX 285, which unlike my old 8800GTX has the ability to slow down into power saving 2D mode.

Unfortunately this only works from boot, once I've played a 3D application, it stays on the 3D clocks, wasting power and creating heat. Does anyone know if there is a way through nTune or Rivatuner to force the card back into the 2D mode when I go back to the desktop from a game?

Thanks in advance,

Joe

dearest joseph

on the OC setting page in rivatuner, there is a lil scrolly box near the top which will probably have "performance 3D" written in it, on it should be an option for "standard 2D", i trust you have tried this? if not tell me so i can slap you upside the head.
