Well, I was fighting with the XCode interface builder for about 3 hours last night and finally understood how it works etc...
From the iOSDevUK I learnt that the interface builder is actually a really powerful tool but I had just never got my head around it.
In the end I managed to make the basic interface structure for my app with a menu screen, a couple of sub screens, some images, buttons, transitions etc... and everything works perfectly.
...
I wrote about 7 lines of code in total.
Whenever I have done apps in the past I have always made the interfaces programatically and a single screen with a couple of buttons and an image with a transition to a second screen with a button to go back woould take somewhere in the region of 100 - 150 lines of written code!
