I'm using Ubuntu and its default Nautilus file manager. I find it less than satisfactory. Specifically, rearranging folders and stuff from one drive to another can be less than intuitive when pasting to a window in the expanded tree view doesn't actually paste to the folder you're viewing... Do other people here have a preference? I have a lot of folders to rearrange... Thanks ![]() |

I like Dolphin, but then I'm a KDE fan. |

At work I use Ubuntu with Unity, but still do a lot of my file management from the command line. |

OK liking Dolphin quite a lot so far, certainly far slicker than Nautilus. Makes me wonder why I'm a Gnome. Perhaps strangely, I actually ended up doing most of what I needed remotely with WinSPC. A really good solution - effectively a pretty gui interface to an ssh session. |
