OK, I have a bunch of images in a folder. Some of them are the same shot. They are not, however, at the same resolution so I can't just tell by the file size which are identical.
Is there a piece of software around that will help me sort these out? Basically it needs to be able to analyse each image in the folder in turn and compare it to every other image and make a reasonable guess from the image content (not the file size or metadata) whether any two are in fact the same. And then (preferably) give me a choice of which to keep and which to throw away.

Anyone got any ideas? I can live with something that is commercial and reasonable because this is a job I have to do occasionally but if the answer is 'CS4' that's not really going to be a viable solution.

I have not tried it but this seems to do what you want.

Bit clunky but it does indeed seem to do the job. Thanks CC.
