open up a command window on your PC. type 'ipconfig' and press return. That'll give you a load of info, what you're looking for this 'gateway'. That will have an address thats four digits with fullstops - something like 192.168.0.1 Take those numbers, open a web browser and go to http://(those numbers) - so say for example http://192.168.0.1 That may bring up a web interface for controlling your router. If it does, it'll probably need a password. That's usually either 'admin' by default, or it'll be on a sticker on the router somewhere. If it's not, you'll have to look for the manual, which you might be able to find online. If you just want to factory reset it, you should also look for small hole, usually near the place where the power cable plugs in it. There are a lot of routers where, with it switched on, if you push the tip of a pen or something in there you'll feel a 'click' as it presses on a recessed button and that will clear all the router's settings back to factory for you. Note if you do that it may lose the password it needs to connect you to the internet, so I'd only do this as a last resort. Jon |

As Jon said, just type in 192.168.0.1 into a browser address bar. There's no need for http etc. Netgear routers login details are usually defaulted to User: admin Password: password |

Make sure you know your ADSL login and password before you default it. You'll need them to get back on line. The login is visible under "basic settings" but the password is only displayed as blobs. |

If you "save" your settings its put into a text file and the password is in plain text. ! ![]() http://routerlogin.net/start.htmshould also reach your netgear router. |

Have you ever been able to connect to eBay? Is it .co.uk .com or both you're having trouble with? Is it a wireless connection or wired? Have you tried the other type, (if it's wireless have you tried wired)? Are you having trouble connecting to any other sites? What version of Windows? |

Open a command prompt window and type ipconfig. The default gateway address is usually your router IP. |
