Folks I need to do some application testing on an Intranet ( how various page elements perform etc ) the companies standard browser is .... yes you guessed it IE8 so are there equivalents to Firebug & Yslow for IE8? If I have to go and have an argument around portable FF I will but I suspect I'll loose that one and the machines are seriously locked down so chances of sneaking it in are remote. Any thoughts? |

Not sure it's what you're after as it seems you can't install software, but ietester has a debug bar. You might be able to add that to ie8. Anyway, it's somewhere to start! |

You can now get Google page-speed online: http://code.google.com/speed/page-speed/ Will this do instead of YSlow? |

IE8 has Developer Tools, (F12) don't know if that'll be any use as I've never really used it so can't tell you what it does |
