Anyone done this? Currently on Vodafone with horrendous retention deals but there are really good new customer deals (see other thread, 12 months @ £36 a month and free phone) so looking to do this as I can't switch from contract to contract on the same network

Any idea how long this process could take? Offer ends end of the month I think so need to start the process sooner than later :)

I haven't tried it myself but whenever I have enquired about doing it I have always been told that there is a minimum of either...

Three months that you have to stay on the PAYG network.
Six months before you're allowed to port BACK to the original network.

It may not be true in your case but I would ask the question as it may determine what you can/can't do.

HTH.

Might just port it to a network I get terrible reception on then ask to port back as I can't use it at work, or a 30 day rolling contract until a different offer comes around
