Well, I got my new 11" MBA three weeks ago now.
This week I've been to the Mac Store in Gateshead twice due to a faulty trackpad (different faults). They replaced it the first time but the new one had a different fault.
When I went back the second time they replaced it again but it still wasn't working. I've now arranged for a replacement to be sent out to me.
FFS!
After all the sh*t that it took to actually get the thing in the first place and now this!
Anyway, I've spoken to after sales (to arrange the replacement) and they have said they will give me credit on my account due to the troubles.
Will be nice to see how much I get. I may buy a new bag for it (and all my stuff).

I've been through 3 iPhone 3GS in 2 years, my boss has been through 4 iPhone 3GS and now 4 iPhone 4s (4 plural, not 4S) in 2 years.
Build quality on newer devices doesn't seem to be as good as it used to be, either that or we've been very unlucky. The record is 3 iPhone 4s in one month! The current one seems to be working, at the moment.

Crikey, I've had my iPhone 4 for more than a year with no issues, I'm obviously very lucky!

Given the huge numbers they are churning out these days, even a small percentage of failures will be a huge number of devices.
The problem is, after so many dud devices turning up in one location, I'm not particularly enamoured with Apple kit or its quality any more.
The replacement policy by Apple Germany is also poor, they collect the phone (free of charge) and return it (maybe) repaired (my first iPhone was sent back 3 times and not repaired) 2 weeks later. That meant in the first 8 weeks of ownership, my iPhone spent around 6 weeks away for repair and I received a Samsung slider dumb-phone as a replacement, while it was away.
When my htc Mozart crapped out, they picked that up as well, but they left a brand new Mozart (sans battery) behind, a simple swap-out service.

i have had major problems with my 20" iMac over the last few weeks and some problems with 3 mac minis not as bad but still a headache
even after reinstalling SL on the iMac the problems remained (clean install no back up loaded) so on the iMac i installed Kubuntu 11.10 and all the problems have gone away and i mean just vanished
to sort the problems on the mac minis i had to install codecs from OSS so far they are all working as they should
are apple playing games ? ...

And Candlemas, one of the principal Christian Feasts. And Groundhog Day if you're a germanic North American. Oh and Imbolc (possibly) if you're a Celtic pagan. Whichever way you cut it, get celebrating!
