I got home on Friday and decided to challenge myself to write an app from scratch and submit it to the AppStore in a single weekend.
As both a learning exercise (lots of new features of Cocoa for iOS 5) and also to find out what I can do (app-wise) in a given amount of time. Also I wanted to get something else out there to show prospective employers.
Anyway, I decided to write a Conway's Game of Life sim as it's something I have always wanted to write but to make it fully configurable with colours and settings etc... All the free versions I have seen up to now don't allow any sort of configuration of the survival and birth settings and colours. Also, it was fresh in my mind from the Cellular Automata stuff I did a while back (see other thread).
Anyway, it's currently awaiting review for the AppStore. It will be free when it goes on there properly.
I blogged it with some screen shots too...
http://www.oliverfoggin.comI would post the link to the page but can't right now.
